- Is InstaVerse really free?
InstaVerse with the King James Bible is absolutely free.
If you want additional translations like the NIV, NKJV, etc., you can purchase them. Adding additional Bibles is done directly through the InstaVerse program, not this web site. Translations start at as little as $9.95.
- Who should use InstaVerse?
If you ever visit Christian web sites or get emails that refer to scriptures, InstaVerse is for you.
If you are a pastor, Sunday school teacher, small group leader, or student, InstaVerse will help you quickly and accurately look up and insert Bible passages for your sermon, lesson, or assignment.
- What exactly does InstaVerse do?
InstaVerse recognizes scripture abbreviations like "Jn 3:16" in web pages and email documents, and if you point at an abbreviation with your mouse, it pops up the Bible text for that reference.
Since InstaVerse is always available (its icon is in the Windows tray—the area in the lower right near the clock), you can use it to quickly look up a verse, and then insert scripture text into a lesson, sermon, or email.
Finally, InstaVerse has a convenient ability to "inject" scripture quickly into a document you are writing. Just type any scripture reference (e.g. "Gen 1:1-3") and then press a hotkey, and InstaVerse replaces your reference with the full Bible text, instantly!
- Who makes InstaVerse?
InstaVerse is made by WORDsearch, a company that has been making Bible software trusted by pastors and teachers for nearly 20 years.
- What Bible translations are available?
You can choose from a selection of over 30 additional Bible translations after you get InstaVerse, including the most popular contemporary translations such as the NIV, NLT, NKJV, HCSB, NASB, ESV, and many more. Prices start at $9.95.
- How do I add Bibles?
You add Bibles from inside InstaVerse by clicking the "Add-on Bibles" menu item. It will display a list of available translations and their prices.
- I have my own web site. Can I make InstaVerse available to my readers?
Absolutely! It is very easy to include a button on your site so your visitors can use InstaVerse with your site. Your site visitors will appreciate you telling them about a truly useful and free utility for accessing God's word.
- Are InstaVerse Bibles compatible with WORDsearch's Bible software?
Yes. All Bibles used by InstaVerse are in the CROSS™ format. If you already own WORDsearch (version 7 or newer), Bible Explorer (version 3 or newer), or LifeWay's Bible Navigator, InstaVerse will use the Bibles from those programs. If you buy InstaVerse then later purchase any of those other programs, they will recognize and use your InstaVerse Bibles automatically.
- Does InstaVerse pop up scriptures for all programs? Will it insert scripture text in any word processor?
InstaVerse will pop-up scripture text for references displayed in Internet Explorer, Firefox (ver 1.5 or later), Outlook, Outlook Express, Microsoft Word, Yahoo Messenger and PalTalk. You can use InstaVerse's ability to insert Bible text after you type an abbreviation (like "John 3:16") and hit a hotkey in Word, Outlook, and Outlook Express.
- What are the system requirements?
InstaVerse runs on Windows 2000, XP, and Vista (and not Windows 7). It is not Mac compatible.
- Does InstaVerse require an internet connection to work?
No, even though InstaVerse adds cool features to web sites, both the progam and its Bible translation(s) install into your PC and work just fine offline.
- How do I get technical support for InstaVerse?
You can email us. InstaVerse is supported by email only. Please send all requests for technical assistance to Support@WORDsearchbible.com.
